The GAPSK Putonghua Proficiency Test, developed by the Institute of Language Education at Peking University, is the only Putonghua proficiency test for primary and secondary schools and kindergartens approved by the Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan Affairs Office of the Ministry of Education. The kindergarten exam content is designed based on thematic curriculum of Hong Kong kindergartens. The GAPSK exam is administered by the GAPSK Examination Board. The development of the exam was meticulously researched and validated by its academic advisors and Peking University's subject advisors, resulting in a robust and enriched content. The GAPSK Putonghua Proficiency Test is designed to encourage interest in learning Putonghua and improve proficiency among kindergarten and primary and secondary school students in Hong Kong.
