Cambridge Math Level 6
This final primary stage prepares learners for secondary education.
Service Description
Level 6 is a capstone year that ensures learners are fully prepared for the transition to Cambridge Lower Secondary. Students use all four operations with fractions, decimals, and percentages to solve complex problems. They are formally introduced to algebra, using symbols and letters to represent variables and unknowns. Geometry includes calculating angles in polygons and using a ruler and protractor to construct shapes. The curriculum emphasizes sophisticated problem-solving, requiring students to decide which operations and steps to use. They also analyze and interpret a wider range of graphs and data sets, forming and testing their own hypotheses. Contents: (1) The number system (2) Numbers and sequences (3) Averages (4) Addition and subtraction (1) (5) 2D shapes (6) Fractions and percentages (7) Exploring measures (8) Addition and subtraction (2) (9) Probability (10) Multiplication and division (1) (11) 3D shapes (12) Ratio and proportion (13) Angles (14) Multiplication and division (2) (15) Data (16) The laws of arithmetic (17) Transformations
